CONSULTANTS

Most of the paperwork I've made available here is my original work. Occasionally, I've run across a great handout that (in my opinion) only requires a change in layout or design. In those instances, I will credit the original source, if known. All of these documents were created for my own personal use, but they are available to other Independent Beauty Consultants for FREE.

You have permission to post individual documents on your own unit support website (like UnitNet) only if you keep the file named exactly as it is here. Thanks!

DISC Behavior Profile Definitions - It's difficult to get an accurate DISC score if you don't know what all those words mean! Keep your team members from becoming frustrated by making this sheet available to them.
Eye Application Diagrams - These sheets show how to apply eye colors for the various eye shapes, using the directions from the Application Tips videos on my Personal Website. It's easy to set these out at a Color Party for customers to follow on their own or to use them at an individual color appointment. I recommend taking these sheets to Kinko's (since we get a discount) and having them laminated for longevity.  Close-Set   Deep-Set   Hooded   Wide-Set
50% Off Coupons - Print these on cardstock, cut them out, put your stamp or sticker on the back, then laminate these reusable coupons. Tina Elliott gave me the idea to use them in conjunction with my roll-up closing sheet.
Appointment Reminder Cards - If you've ever had a customer forget your appointment together (despite coaching phone calls), you'll want to print these cards! All other professionals give them out when new appointments are scheduled...why not us? These are formatted to print on Avery Business Cards 5371, 5372, 5376, or 5377.
Clearance Sale Book - In an effort to get rid of my leftover limited edition and discontinued items, I created a Clearance Sale Book using the Look Book Saver I bought at Seminar. I simply tore pages that featured each item from old company product catalogs and put them in the sleeves. This document includes the front cover and the page that precedes the Hostess Gift section (I also added catalog pages showing Hostess Gifts I have left). These pages will need to be trimmed to fit.
Holiday Gift List - Pass this out to guests at Holiday Coffees or Open Houses (or any event around the holidays). Looks great printed in black and white!
My Hostess Packet - I'm a pretty firm believer in the fact that most people won't read a whole folder's worth of stuff, so I streamlined my Hostess Packet to two sheets (below) and a company product catalog inside a 9x12 cello bag. I will also slip a CD in there if the hostess agrees to give me her opinion of the business. I mail invites for my hostess, so I don't include any in my packet. My version of the Working Your Class Full-Circle sheet will be updated soon.
  • Hostess Plan Sheet - This features my custom $100 free plan, which has been super-successful for booking! I recommend printing this two-page document back-to-back on one sheet of paper (24lb). Be sure to fill in your e-mail on the first page and your contact information at the bottom of the second page. BONUS: If you want to offer the Pamper Me Pink Center in Nicholasville as one of your locations, print this one instead!
  • Advance Order Form - This is also intended to be printed as a two-sided sheet (again, 24lb paper works well). Be sure to fill in your information where it asks for "Checks made payable to" and consultant information.
New Friends List - Is your desk swimming with warm chatter info cards and random scraps of paper with phone numbers on them? Transfer the info to this sheet and throw the cards away — yes, you can do it. This is based on Tina Elliott's Hostess Prospect List.
Smart Business Tracker - Have you ever run out of inventory money and wondered where it went? Unsure if you're paying yourself the right amount? Use my custom business tracker to avoid accidentally embezzling from yourself! Don't forget to check out the directions and examples first: Smart Business Tracker Examples.
40 Calls Tracking Sheet - If you picked up the phone 40 times this week, you could be a director in 7 months! The results of each call could be leaving a message (circle "M"), booking (circle "book" and record date and type of appointment), or being asked to call back (circle "CB" and record date to call back). The statistics at the bottom of this sheet assume you're starting from nothing, but as you know, your commissions, bonuses, and class averages build over time. Our business is a numbers game, so don't give up!
One organizational time-saver I've found is pre-packing color cards. This allows me to grab a couple of appropriate looks when I'm heading to a color appointment. For new color cards, fold the card and put it in a snack-sized Ziplock bag, along with both liner samples and the gloss sample. For pre-2008 color cards, fold the color card inside-out so the samples show. Put the folded card in a sandwich- or quart-size Ziplock bag, along with both liner samples and the gloss sample. I also label the top of each bag with the name of the Look so I know to restock that particular card when I get home from a color appointment (take home the empty Ziplock and refill it). Sort the bags into gallon-size Ziplocks according to recommended skintone (ivory/beige, beige, and bronze/ebony) to make choosing faster. When someone tries a new look, I always write its name on the back of the customer's profile (or the colors used, if it was custom-created), as well as writing it on the back of their before-and-after pictures for reference.
Top Reasons to Start by New Year's - This is a KYredhead.com reworking of the sheet that's going around in quite a few different forms. A lot of it is my own, but it does use that other document as an inspiration.
Initial Inventory Sale Flyer - This is a two-sided flyer that your new team members can slip into a page protector and show around to friends and family, with the intention of building her qualifying inventory order. It can also be posted on a bulletin board or something, obviously.
My Team-Building Notebook - This is a super-thin binder I take to every appointment, for display and reference. The front cover is a Car Sheet showing all the career cars. In the very front are the Perfect Opportunity and Inspiring Success Brochures from section 2 (hole-punched). Next come the four documents bulleted below, in sheet protectors. After that is a two-page scrapbook-style spread (made with a Microsoft Word template) about my favorite rewards, including pictures of family, girlfriends, my Seminar dress, and prized I've earned. At the end is the current Seminar Awards brochure, in an 11x17 fold-out sheet protector. Since I have this notebook at all of my appointments, I put a few non-recruiting things in the back: sheets about my wedding services and fundraiser opportunities, Chatney Gelfius' arm pictures, and my Brush Cost and Ultimate Brand Comparison Sheets.
  • Common Questions - This is a reworking of several documents that are going around, and includes the questions I get asked the most (the answers were either edited or rewritten by me).
  • Consider This - Again, this is a rewritten, reworked version of a commonly-seen document that frames the benefit of buying a Starter Kit as if it's a newspaper advertisement for a department store.
  • Income Potential - This is another reworked document (see a theme?), but I changed some of the figures to be more realistic/conservative, plus added something cutesy at the bottom.
  • The next two sheets show the contents of the current Starter Kit laid out and priced individually (it's by Kissa's Kreations, not me, and is available for download here). It does have two typos that need to be corrected with Wite-Out and a pen, however. On page one, the paragraph that starts "The Starter Kit contains..." should say "over $450" not "over $475". On the second page, the banner at the top should read "Your Starter Kit Comes With Over $130 in Business Tools," not "Over $155".
Class Invitation Postcards - The one-postcard-fits-all invitation! Just circle the pampering session type on the back. Print these two-sided postcards on card stock and use your stamp or sticker for the return address. UPDATED
"I'd Love Your Opinion!" Form - My version of the "Pondered Pink" sheet. Hand this form out to guests after a skin care class, then follow-up yourself or turn them in to your director! (prints two to a sheet)
10 Faces A Week (booking script) - Here is my PCP follow-up script, which I use when I'm going for 10 faces a week (great for a 100-Face Race). This can help get your portfolio stocked!
Skin Care Class Flip Chart - This script uses the Profile Cards and Flip Chart available through May 2007. The first page of this document explains all the information necessary for using this script. Print these pages, trim on all four sides, and tape them over the existing flip chart words so that the entire page is covered (even the sidebar).
Eye Cream Results - I display this page during my skin care class to show that, with continued use, one of our eye creams really does brighten the under-eye area. I received my customer's permission to make these pictures available to other Consultants through KYredhead.com.
Flip Chart Roll-Up Page - This is the page I created to display during the roll-up close of my skin care class. Trim it to fit and tape it over the picture page indicated in my Flip Chart document. The idea to show a retail roll-up bag came from Melissa Mays' flip chart.
Roll-Up Closing Sheet - This is the culmination of two years' of tweaking, trying to get a closing sheet I liked. Limiting the sheet to nine sets significantly shortens the length of the closing spiel. My favorite part is the extra care sidebar, which allows customers to browse according to their needs (eliminating the need for me to incorporate every single supplement in the closing, while still allowing customers to customize). This does not discount anything unless they choose 6 sets or the entire skin care set. The week I changed to this sheet, I sold three roll-ups at two facials! Want a different option? Try this Roll-Up Closing Sheet which also offers ½-off coupons (thanks to Tina Elliott for the idea!) ot the "Save $100" Roll-Up Closing Sheet, which focuses on the sets used in my skin care class.
Girls' Night Out Invitation Postcard - I keep these invitations on hand for inviting warm chatter contacts to our weekly meeting. These also get mailed to guests who booked over the phone. Be sure to write your name and number on the front at the bottom AND/OR stamp your info on the back (where the return address goes). Let guests know they can come as early as 5:30, but the cutoff for getting into a pampering session is 6:25! UPDATED FOR JULY
Map to Monday Night Meetings at the Hilton - Use this scalable map to our new meeting location on event flyers or just e-mail it to your guests!
Customers Count Challenge Tracking Sheet - Print one of these each quarter to track your numbers for the 2009-2010 Customers Count Challenge. This helps keep the challenge in front of your face (like on a goal poster or in your "brain book"), but remember to enter your sales on the company website to be eligible for prizes.
Wrapping Ideas - Click here to get some packaging ideas!
Door Prize Sign - When I set up a table or booth, I always have a "fishbowl" for prize drawings. I made this sign to set next to the entry slips. It's designed to fit in an 8"x10" picture frame (I use a cheap plastic one with a built-in stand; it's shaped like an "L"). The sign will need to be trimmed on two sides in order to fit.
Thank You Cards - Print these two-sided on cardstock and keep them in your purse to give away to warm chatter leads that have been really nice or helpful. Saying, "You know what? You've been so patient with me/kind to my children/friendly/etc., I'd like to thank you with a gift certificate! Have you ever tried Mary Kay before?" is both a great way to break the ice and an easy way to find out if she already has a consultant. It expires in a month, so you also need to get her contact info so you can schedule her gift before that time. Don't forget to stamp or sticker your info on the back!
